VILLIERS: GOVERNMENT BLUNDER HITS PROPERTY MARKET IN BARNET

In an article to be published in a local paper this week, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, highlights the confusion around stamp duty and the problems it is causing for constituents who are trying to sell their homes. Theresa writes....

Following the attack on Ravenscroft School by the Department of Children, Schools and Families, MP for Chipping Barnet, Theresa Villiers, has written to he Secretary of State for Schools, Ed Balls, asking him to apologise to the staff and students at the school. She said:

“Mr Balls’ attack on Ravenscroft was ill-judged and unjustified. To focus solely on GCSE results without taking into account the “value added” by the school wholly misrepresents the situation. Ravenscroft is an excellent school that does wonderful work. Its record in providing educational opportunities for children, many of whom come... (continued)
